The Micronized Group is committed to responsible corporate citizenship. Its community school at Pegmin (Pty) Ltd now provides schooling and two meals a day to approximately 25 children.  The group is also investing heavily in rehabilitating the land around Pegmin (Pty) Ltd, having inherited environmental damage when it acquired the mine in 2002. Pegmin (Pty) Ltd has undergone a complete environmental and infrastructure assessment, and the group is rehabilitating the area to acceptable environmental standards.

The Group places concerted and dedicated emphasis on safety, health and environmental issues.  It's health, safety and environment (SHE) policies are rigorously enforced.
