Operations Overview

The Group operates through two companies, Micronized Products (Pty) Ltd. and Pegmin (Pty) Ltd. 

The Micronized Group’s headquarters, as well as milling, micronizing and nanosizing facilities, are in Johannesburg. It has branches in Cape Town and Durban.

Pegmin (Pty) Ltd, the Group’s mining operation, in Mica, near Phalaborwa, supplies raw materials, including Feldspar, Mica, Silica and Talc, which are then processed to client requirements.  Through joint venture and association agreements, Micronized also obtains additional raw materials, including Talc, Barytes and Vermiculite, from external sources.

Micronized’s own-manufactured products, including Talc, Mica, Feldspar and Silica, are all essentially inert and non-toxic..  All provide excellent UV stability, and acid rain resistance.  Their non-reactive character makes them excellent for use in exterior coating applications.

The Micronized Group also sells products for which it has exclusive rights in South Africa, including Hitox, Titanium Dioxide R255 and a comprehensive range of solvent based resins and additives.
