Operations Overview

The Micronized group operates primarily through two companies: Micronized Products (Pty) Ltd in Johannesburg and Pegmin (Pty) Ltd in Mica, near Phalaborwa.

Micronized Products (Pty) Ltd is a processing operation for talc, mica, kaolin, barytes and vermiculite (both raw and exfoliated), all of which are essentially inert and non-toxic, thus encouraging overall environmental stability.

Pegmin (Pty) Ltd is a mining and milling beneficiation operation for feldspar, mica and silica. Pegmin (Pty) Ltd accurately processes several product grades to exacting client specifications.

The Micronized group, representing Tor Minerals (USA) and Disamtex Products (Brazil), also markets specialised tint extenders and processing aids for which it holds exclusive rights in South Africa.
